On March 5th-6th, the IACN held a workshop on Sharing Wisdomand Knowledges in Edmonton, Canada, as part of the Gender Equality in theArctic project. This workshop was aimed at bringing together various Indigenousknowledge-holders to discuss the methods of generational and inter-communcaltransfer of traditional sources of knowledge. One such method was introducingcapacity-building within the realm of podcasting - an opportune platform forthe sharing of wisdom as Indigenous knowledge sharing often takes the form ofrich storytelling.
Lending us their expertise were Amber Dion and TerriCardinal of the 'Two Crees in a Pod' podcast, which explores variousfacets of the Indigenous experience - it's ways of life, challenges, andblessings. They took the opportunity to interview the workshop's participants ina mini-series called 'Stories from the North'.
