On March 5th-6th, the IACN held a workshop on Sharing Wisdom and Knowledges in Edmonton, Canada, as part of the Gender Equality in the Arctic project. This workshop was aimed at bringing together various Indigenous knowledge-holders to discuss the methods of generational and inter-communal transfer of traditional sources of knowledge. One such method was introducing capacity-building within the realm of podcasting - an opportune platform for the sharing of wisdom as Indigenous knowledge sharing often takes the form of rich storytelling.
Lending us their expertise were Amber Dion and Terri Cardinal of the 'Two Crees in a Pod' podcast, which explores various facets of the Indigenous experience - it's ways of life, challenges, and blessings. They took the opportunity to interview the workshop's participants in a mini-series called 'Stories from the North'.
